Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of 100 Bowls for 500 Calories (the "Service") operated by Bowls Studio ("we", "us", "our"). By purchasing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Refund Policy.

1. The Service

100 Bowls is a digital cookbook delivered as a progressive web application. A one-time purchase ($9.99) grants lifetime access to all recipes, macros, and in-app features, on devices where you saved a passkey.

2. Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all orders. Paddle provides payment processing, tax handling where applicable, and handles buyer billing inquiries. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your transaction: Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms.

Bowls Studio is the licensor of the digital content. We do not invoice you directly for purchases processed by Paddle.

3. Account and access

• You must activate access with a passkey to open purchased content.
• Access is personal and non-transferable. You may not share account credentials or resell access.
• If you pay before activating, access is linked to the email address used at checkout when you activate with that email and your Paddle order ID.
• You may register up to three passkeys (devices) per account.
• You are responsible for keeping your receipt email and order ID available if you need to activate a new device.

4. Purchase and delivery

Before completing checkout you must accept these Terms and our Refund Policy. After successful payment, access is granted digitally — there is no physical shipment. Delivery is complete when your account is marked as paid and you can open the cookbook after signing in.

Because the product is digital content supplied immediately, you acknowledge that statutory withdrawal rights may not apply once access is granted, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. Our voluntary refund terms are described in the Refund Policy.

5. License

Upon payment, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own household purposes. You may not copy, redistribute, publicly display, sublicense, or commercially exploit the recipes, images, or other content except as permitted by applicable law (e.g. short quotations for review).

6. Health and nutrition disclaimer

Recipes and macro information are provided for general informational purposes only. They are not medical or dietary advice. You prepare and consume food at your own risk. Check ingredients for allergens and consult a qualified professional before making dietary changes. We do not guarantee specific health, weight loss, or fitness outcomes.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• attempt to bypass access controls or paywalls;
• scrape, bulk download, or mirror the Service;
• use the Service unlawfully or in a way that harms others or our infrastructure;
• misrepresent your identity or payment eligibility.

8. Intellectual property

All content, branding, design, and software in the Service are owned by Bowls Studio or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. Unauthorized copying or distribution may result in termination of access and legal action.

If a complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, consumers in the UK may refer the matter to an approved alternative dispute resolution provider or, where applicable, the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bowls Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data stored locally on your device. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for lifetime access in the twelve months before the claim, except where liability cannot be limited under mandatory consumer law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. Refunds after termination are governed by the Refund Policy and applicable law.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Bowls Studio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence still apply where they cannot be waived.
