The weight of all cooked ingredients (chicken, quinoa) is specified in their cooked / ready-to-eat form.
Ingredients
- Grilled or baked chicken breast (cooked) — 130 g
- Cooked quinoa — 130 g
- Fresh avocado (peeled and pitted) — 40 g
- Fresh spinach leaves — 50 g
- Extra virgin olive oil — 6 g (approx. 1 tsp)
- Lemon juice — 1 tsp (for drizzling over the avocado, calories not counted)
- Salt, garlic powder, black pepper — to taste
Instructions
- 1Prepare the base. Place a bed of fresh, washed and dried spinach leaves at the bottom of a deep bowl.
- 2Carbohydrate section. Place the warm cooked quinoa next to the spinach. If you cooked it in advance, reheat it slightly before assembling.
- 3Protein section. Slice or cube the cooked chicken breast and add it to the next section of the bowl.
- 4Healthy fats. Slice or cube the avocado, drizzle it with lemon juice (to prevent browning), and place it in the bowl.
- 5Final touch. Evenly drizzle olive oil over the spinach, quinoa and avocado. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 6Serving tip. Do not mix the ingredients before serving. The essence of a bowl is to combine different textures and flavors on your fork as you eat.
